Custom-fit cold insulation for SEKISUI MEFCO BN AND BD
With the Mefco series, GWK Kuhlmann offers another valve insulation for the cold water and refrigeration sector. Following the introduction of the ABQM series for the Danfoss ABQM 4.0 fitting, the range has been extended to include a suitable insulation for the PVC ball valves in the Mefco BN and BD series in conjunction with the PE100 long insert.
The PVC ball valve from Mefco is very often used in geothermal applications. There, the ball valve is also used in the heat pump’s brine lines as a transfer point between the well builder’s installation and the system mechanic’s installation as a shut-off valve.
The Mefco series is tested for an application range from -15°C to 85°C. Within this temperature range, the insulation reliably protects against condensation and ice formation. The insulation complies with the provisions of the GEG and DIN 1988-200.
All series of the ES-Box COOL are reusable and do not need to be glued. Installation is just as quick and easy as with other GWK Kuhlmann products. In order to guarantee the tightness and functionality of the insulation as a manufacturer, the ES-Box COOL is only available as a “tested combination”: each ES-Box COOL is developed for a specific fitting and tested in GWK Kuhlmann’s own test laboratory. The maximum parameters for this combination are defined here. As the manufacturer, we guarantee the functionality of the ES-Box COOL for this combination and the confirmed parameters.
