Measuring heat loss
Did you know that …
… it is not so easy to determine the heat loss of a heating fitting?
In short, it is simply not possible to calculate the heat loss using a formula. Too many parameters would have to be taken into account. The size and nature of the surface of the valve, convection and turbulence, vertical or horizontal installation… For this reason, we do not calculate the loss, we measure it. The specially developed measuring device takes all parameters into account and makes it possible to measure the energy-saving potential of fitting insulation.
The room with your heating system will probably have a light and a light switch. After all, permanently lighting a room that you are not currently in would be a waste of energy. In a way, your heating valves also have a light switch. A DN20 socket angle seat valve loses up to 30 watts at a ∆T of 55°. With a suitable EPP box, this loss can be reduced to 5 watts. Simply “switch off” your heat loss!
